How Many Bridesmaids Should I Have?

Planning a wedding is a wonderful time, but it is also full of responsibilities and tasks that need to be completed. Often there are hundreds of tasks on a bride to be’s to do list. However, it is not as simple as simply crossing off task after task from your long list of wedding ideas.

The issue that many modern brides run into is that the wedding is firmly rooted in tradition and in etiquette. There are many decisions that are going to be made while taking these rules into account. Let’s start by seeing how large your wedding arty needs to be.

First, people are usually chosen for the wedding ceremony because they are important to the bride and groom. The bridesmaids are present to support and prepare the bride for her big day, and the groomsmen act in much the same capacity.

However, those attendants are often key players in other pre wedding celebrations like a bridal shower or bachelor party. Often it falls to the maid or matron of honor to plan and throw the bridal shower.

Let’s take a look at what might go on at a bachelor part. The best man usually organizes it, and it might something as simple as a poker night t home, or an extravagant Las Vegas weekend. The wedding party usually take responsibility for the purchase of their own outfits and for the traveling that they need to do.

In general , you will also find that your wedding attendants are going to be taking on jobs to help you with the motion of your wedding. They might be involved in helping you address invitations, for instance. Before this happens, though, you’ll find that it is important to decide how many people you want in your wedding party.

Choosing your bridal party is a very personal decision. It is really up to the couple as to who they want to stand with them on their big day. However, it can be difficult decide how to choose between close friends. On average brides and grooms typically have anywhere from 1-6 attendants per side. Often a bride and groom will also elect to have a flower girl and/or ring bearer. Within those numbers though there is not really a hard and fast rule that you have to follow.

If you want a small and intimate affair then you may want to only have one or two close friends standing next to you for your big day. However, if you are having a larger and more formal wedding then you can actually have as many as ten or twelve attendants per side. However, despite the guidelines that exist you can still have the freedom to break those rules. Ultimately it is your wedding, and the only thing that really matters is that you are surrounded by the people who are important to you on the most special day of your life!
